Ben L. Ashcraft grew up on a farm in Idaho. He attended Ricks College for 2 years studying Family Science, then transferred and completed his B.A. Degree at Utah State University in Family and Human Development. He was accepted into the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Utah State University and completed his Masters degree in 1997. He received his official Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure in 1999 after completing a 2 year internship working with youth in proctor/foster care. He transferred to work for the State of Utah working with the Family Preservation Department until 2001. He then spent 6 months working with an adolescent residential treatment program as a therapist/program director.
In October of 2001, Ben was hired as a therapist at Cross Creek Manor. Ben’s hobbies include running, music, wood-working, and spending time with his family. Ben has been married to his wife for 14 years, and they have 4 children. Ben enjoys working with youth and families while watching them grow and find happiness and success.
Jeffrey J. Ford, M.S., MFT received his B.S degree at University of Utah in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies. He earned his M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Purdue University. His experience consists of Practitioner at LDS Family Services, giving clinical therapy on adoption and Birth Parent Work. Has had experience from the Southern Utah Counseling giving clinical therapy. Instructor at Purdue University in Psychology and development courses; prepared for and gave lectures for college level students. Parents Anonymous Facilitator at The Success Center in Lansing, IL. Primary children’s Medical Center Residential Treatment Center worked as a Psych Technician. Jeffrey worked at a Boys Ranch as a Live-In Counselor Staff Member. He worked with Boys Scouts of America as a Scout Master & Assistant Scout Leader.
Garth is a licensed certified social worker within the State of Utah and received his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University.
Garth specializes in working with adolescents and their families in addressing chemical dependency, oppositional defiant attitudes and behaviors, depression and other family issues. He has a wide range of clinical experiences from providing individual, family, and group therapy to teaching life skills and other educational information pertinent to recovery. His past experience has included being the outpatient director of the Utah Alcoholism Foundation’s Central Utah Treatment Center where he also worked with alcoholic/drug abusive clients in a sixty day inpatient program. He also worked for the Division of Family Services within the State of Utah assisting families and adolescents in crisis.
He was the recipient of the Special Recognition Eli Lilly Welcome Back Award for his primary care with those who are engaged in the struggle with clinical depression. Garth and his wife are the parents of three, a nineteen year old daughter, seventeen year old son, and a fourteen year old son.
Thane has a B.S degree in Family Science from Brigham Young University and an M.S. degree from Utah State University in Family and Human Development with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Thane is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Utah and also a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Thane has been working at Cross Creek for over 10 years. Thane is married and has 8 children. Thane and his wife have also been foster parents for seven years and had many teenagers come through their home. Thane is active in the community as a volunteer coach and Boy Scout Leader. Thane also actively plays sports, mostly rugby and basketball, and loves the outdoors.
